Join us at Sykes Place Plantation for a return to the old Southern style of quail hunting. In the crisp, early morning atmosphere, you will journey on horseback or by mule-drawn wagon into the expansive former cotton plantation's 3800 acres. Your guide leads the way and the dog handlers follow. Dismount from horseback into the spacious and rolling sage field and follow the dogs. This long standing quail preserve is a natural habitat that affords the abundant proliferation of wild birds wherein coveys abound in the excellent cover. Our hunting staff will design your hunt, and your hunting party will be tailored to suit your needs and desires. The well trained, gaited trail horses will be fully outfitted with tack and ready to ride. Or a driver will transport you by mule-drawn wagon into the countryside. Experienced dog handlers will manage English pointers and setters who are bred from Championship lines. You need only bring your shotgun and shells. After your morning hunt and a brief respite, we provide lunch, then the hunt resumes until early evening.
